Why Italy?
First, a few thoughts on why Italy is such a popular travel destination:

- Italy has a diverse landscape, from the Alps to the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. There is something for everyone to enjoy, whether you are looking for an active vacation or a relaxing one.
- Italy is a relatively affordable country to visit. With careful planning (that’s where I come in!), you can have a wonderful vacation without breaking the bank.

CLIMATE: Italy is in the temperate zone and is similar to a Mediterranean climate overall. The climate does vary across the country due to its size

Overall, the average daytime temperatures in winter outside of the Alpine region are about 55ºF and about 85ºF in summer. High season is June to August with warm summer months and long sunny days.

Tipping is appreciated in restaurants and with tour guides. Expect to tip up to 10% in restaurants, 1 EUR per bag with a porter, and round up a couple of Euros for a taxi driver.

Sample Itinerary for your Travel to Italy
The different regions of Italy offer much art, culture, and architecture to experience but are spread out enough that you will need to decide on a general area of the country to visit. You can experience a great first trip to Italy with a focus on the major cities in the northern half of the country.
I enjoy the popular cities of Rome, Florence and Venice, but I also really love getting off the beaten bath and exploring the regions of Umbria (especially Assisi) and Tuscany. I can’t go through Tuscany without spending time in Greve in Chianti – especially a visit to Vignamaggio! And of course I have my favorite properties to stay at while I’m visiting!
Here is an example of a recent trip I created for a client, based on their specific needs and preferences.
If you are looking for a truly unforgettable travel experience, Italy is the perfect destination for you. With its rich history and culture, delicious food and wine, and stunning scenery, Italy is truly a Bucket List topper. Most importantly, relax and enjoy your time in Italy – It is a truly magical country with something to offer everyone.
