Looking for the perfect place to use your Disney World Quick-Service Dining Credits? Perhaps you’re wondering where your family can get something quick (but good) to eat in the midst of the magic? Here are our family favorites for all four Disney Parks and Disney Springs!
Exciting update: Menus now feature allergy-sensitive offerings at the bottom! Always remember to call ahead and to talk to a chef about life-threatening allergies – Disney is AWESOME about supporting those with allergies. But that’s a subject for another post!
Magic Kingdom
- Pinocchio Village Haus. Pinocchio Haus is in the same building as It’s a Small World. With flatbreads around $12 each that are big enough for smaller appetites to share (I’m an adult woman and I could only eat half of mine), chicken nuggets and fries for $10, and pasta with sauce for under $7.50, this family-friendly restaurant appeals to both plant-based diets and omnivores. Prices accurate as of 1/24/2020.
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Ray’s is a classic burger / hot dog / fries joint that also offers a nice Greek Salad. My favorite thing about Cosmic Ray’s, though, is that -like Pecos Bill’s- they have a condiment bar that allows guests to add pickles, sautéed mushrooms, and other veggies to their meals.
- Columbia Harbor House, Magic Kingdom. This is an easy place to get a healthy meal in the Magic Kingdom. Grilled salmon, vegetarian chili, and steamed veggies are on the regular menu. The Lighthouse Sandwich, featuring hummus and broccoli slaw, is a favorite of vegetarians like me! Go upstairs in the afternoon for a more quiet and peaceful environment.
- Main Street Bakery, Magic Kingdom. This is a Starbucks. It’s the only place to get coffee on Main Street. And they have the souvenir Starbucks “Been there” mugs! They have unique ones at each of the Four Parks! (I have the one from Magic Kingdom and I’ll be collecting another next time!

Pro Tip: We like to sit in the area inside Pinocchio Village Haus that overlooks the “It’s a Small World” ride! We can watch and wave to passengers – it’s fun to see their faces light up with smiles as they wave back! A great opportunity to take a break at Disney World while dining!
Animal Kingdom
- Flame Tree Barbecue, Animal Kingdom. Delicious BBQ chicken and ribs, plus macaroni and cheese, – good for a heartier appetite. This is my one of my brother’s favorites for dining at Disney World.
- Creature Comforts, Animal Kingdom. Another Starbucks.. This location benefits from being one of the few places to grab breakfast at the Animal Kingdom.
- Restaurantosaurus. Tucked away back by the Dinosaur ride, this counter-service restaurant is often overlooked because people simply don’t know it’s there! That makes for plenty of space and less noise if you’re looking for a quiet, cool place to escape the heat of the park for a bit. Primarily a burger joint, they also have a condiment bar with a great selection of veggies to “veg up” your meal.
- Satu’li Canteen, Animal Kingdom. This is one of the newer quick service venues at Walt Disney World, opening when Pandora did in 2017. The signature item is a “bowl” which allows guests to customize a base of quinoa, rice, or greens, with toppings of beef, chicken, shrimp, or tofu, and a variety of sauces. Think Chiptole or Q’doba. I love it because it’s a place to get healthier options while still feeling like I’m splurging.
Pro Tip: Make use of Disney’s mobile order system, available through the My Disney Experience app, to save ages waiting in line.
EPCOT
- Tangierine Cafe. Hands-down my favorite place for dining in EPCOT, if not Walt Disney World. This is the place that made my fall in love with Mediterranean food before the Mediterranean Diet was cool. Vegetarians and carnivores alike can find tasty, fresh food to fill up on!
- Fountain View Snacks, Epcot. More Starbucks.
- Promenade Refreshments, Epcot. Reliable hot dogs and beer are the menu standards, though they offer seasonal specialties during the Epcot festivals!
- Refreshment Port, Epcot. The menu here changes with some regularity– Look for special items related to the Epcot festivals.
- Yorkshire County Fish Shop, Epcot, England pavilion. The take-out stand attached to the popular Rose & Crown pub. The fish and chips are just like you’d find in England. Be sure to try the fries (chips) with malt vinegar. <- Yum!
- Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, Epcot, Norway pavilion. The pastries are the pull here, with the clear winner being their School Bread, a sort of Norwegian cream puff topped with toasted coconut.
- Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, Epcot, France pavilion. Clear at the very back of Epcot, Les Halles typically opens at 9:00 a.m. when the other dining spots in Epcot’s World Showcase don’t open until 11:00. Grab an espresso and a pain au chocolate on your way to the Frozen ride and your day will be off to a beautiful and relaxing start. 😉
Pro Tip: DO NOT MISS the caramel corn at Werther’s in Germany. Because it is real caramel, it keeps well… we always get (at least) a couple of bags so that we can bring some home with us – if it makes it there before getting eaten!
Hollywood Studios
- Woody’s Lunch Box. The newest in the restaurant lineup at Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios is getting rave reviews! The menu is, of course, “lunch box” themed and features entrées and sandwiches for kids as well as adults (including the beverages, if you know what I mean). When we visit in July, I’ll update with a personal review!
- ABC Commissary is our go-to for a great place to find something for everyone and a nice place to relax. The ABC Commissary is open daily for lunch and dinner and serves up reliable menu options such as the Angus Bacon Cheeseburger, Asian Salad with Chicken, Chicken Club, New York Strip Steak, and Chicken Breast Nuggets. In addition to the regular menu, the ABC Commissary also includes kosher options like Chicken Strips with Potato Croquette and Corned Beef.
- Rosie’s All American Cafe. Have a seat at one of the tables and enjoy lunch and dinner options like the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich, Chicken Breast Nuggets, and Fresh Angus Onion Straw Cheddar Cheeseburger.
- BackLot Express. With both indoor and outdoor dining, guests can enjoy lunch and dinner menu options including the Chili Hot Dog, Galactic Chicken Salad, Corellian Spice Fries, and the Royal Guard Burger. A beverage station allows for drink refills. Many menu items at the Backlot Express have a Star Wars theme to them, making it a great place to immerse your family in the new Star Wars vibe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Pro Tip: Plan for breakfast / brunch between the hours of 10:00-11:00 or lunch between the hours of 1:00-3:00 in order to miss the crowds and avoid wasting time standing in lines. Better yet, order online on your app for this same time frame and you’ll be better able to select the seating of your choice inside the restaurant!
Disney Springs
- Wolfgang Puck Express, Disney Springs. A broad selection of sandwiches, salads, pizza, and full entrees make this a good spot if you’re dining with a group with varying food preferences. This is also one of the few places to get a real breakfast at Disney Springs.
- The Polite Pig, Disney Springs. A variety of well-smoked meats headlines the menu, but the real star is the selection of sides: crispy Brussels sprouts, BBQ cauliflower, roasted beets, and yummy sweet potato tots. Lots of good healthy options, as well as heartier fare!
- D-Luxe Burger, Disney Springs. A solid menu of burgers and fries, with lots of dipping sauce options.
- Blaze Pizza, Disney Springs. Blaze is a chain (one just opened in Liberty, Missouri – near where I live!). Their claim to fame is quick-fired, customized, thin-crust pizza. It’s absolutely yummy and extremely affordable, particularly if you split a pizza with two people.
- Earl of Sandwich, Disney Springs. Another chain, this one with about 30 locations scattered across the U.S. The sandwiches are tasty (though NOT gluten-free!) and the prices are pretty low. Think “Subway,” kind of.

Gratefully, Disney goes farther than anyone else I know in the travel industry to meet the wide and varied nutritional needs of its visitors. No matter your budget or dining plan, there is plenty to find and enjoy all over Walt Disney World!
